Pin brazing for cathodic protection

Makes your installations in any weather!

When a cathodic protection system is applied to a pipeline with spigot and sleeve joints, these joints must be electrically bonded.

For Pipelaying vessels it is very important to connect the bracelet anodes to off-shore pipes fast and safe, both in a horizontal and vertical position. Pin Brazing has all these advantages compare to thermite welding or other welding methods; such as the Pin Brazing is easy and fast to use also on vertical surfaces, can be made in any weather conditions, does not melt the steel down in the pipe (which not is very popular among the infrastructure owners), PinBrazing just melt a layer of silver between the cable from the anode to the pipe which also gives the best electrical properties to the bonding.

See assortment of consumables here.

When attaching the Jumper Bonds over the joints, the patented SAFETRACK pin brazing can be used.

When you need the very best (silver) connection of your cathodic protection cables to steel, ductile or cast-iron pipevessel, tanks or reinforcement bars.

No more confusion and maintenance with thermit weld molds and weld portions. Just Pin Braze your cables, easy and quick!

Why Pin brazing instead of thermite welding?

  • Works in any weather condition

Rain and snow is no more a problem. You know for sure that the job will be done.

  • Fast

The pin brazing process takes only a second and the whole preparation takes less than a minute.

  • Does not affect internal coatings

No need for comments we believe?

  • Fast and easy to use on pipe lay barge

  • No need for special moulds

  • Economical

  • Safe for the operator, battery driven 36V DC system

Unlike thermite welding, PinBrazing is safe even in rain etc.

  • Low temperature bond

It's a brazing method which means much less temperature than thermite welding. Pin brazing uses a 3rd material(silver) with less melting temperature (1100-1200°F) than the other involved metals.

  • Safe for the material

It is a Silver Brazing Method. Does not melt the work material down as the exothermic methods (thermite) does. Just a thinn layer of silver is applicated between the pipe and the cable wires.

  • Easy - Automated process

Just pull the trigger and the automatic 1 second process do the job.

Why the New electronic Pin brazing system is so much more reliable than the old fusewired system:
  • Constant Energy output, thanks to a patented electronic.
  • Automatic Brazing gun, S4 (patent).
  • Almost a maintenance free system.
  • Under-Voltage Protection.
