Electric Rail Road Excavator
AMT RailRoad’s electric rail excavator is designed for safe, quiet, and zero-emission operation on and around railways. The machine delivers the same power and feel as its diesel counterpart but with no harmful emissions and significantly lower noise levels.
With interchangeable battery packs, the machine can operate 8–16 hours autonomously on the track, or up to 24 hours when alternating between active and charging packs. The modular battery system also allows sharing of battery packs across multiple machines and ensures future-proof operation with the possibility to upgrade to higher capacity packs.
Developed in collaboration with BAM Infra, this electric excavator has already proven its environmental impact by reducing CO₂ emissions by 55,000 kg on a single project, demonstrating both sustainability and operational efficiency.
